These terms govern your use of Cultivated Corpora across both of our surfaces: our TYPE TO PAY™ terminals and this website (the marketplace). They apply to everyone who uses us — whether you write at a terminal, browse the website, contact us, or buy a corpus. By writing at a terminal, accessing the website, or purchasing from the marketplace, you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the terminals or the website.

1. Writers cede content rights

When you write at a TYPE TO PAY terminal, you grant and irrevocably assign to Cultivated Corpora all right, title, and interest in the text you submit, worldwide and in perpetuity. This includes the right to store, redact, modify, reproduce, license, sublicense, and resell that text as training data or in any other form, without attribution to you and without any payment beyond the snack or credit dispensed at the time.

You confirm that the text is your own original work, that you have the right to assign it, and that it does not infringe anyone else's rights. Do not submit anything you are not free to give away completely.

2. Buyers receive a license, not ownership

When you purchase a corpus, you receive a license to use that text as training data and for related purposes. You do not acquire ownership of the text or any exclusive rights in it. Cultivated Corpora retains ownership and may license the same corpus to other buyers.

Unless agreed otherwise in writing, the license is non-exclusive, non-transferable, and non-refundable. Removing a corpus from the marketplace (a "purge") suppresses future sale of that lot; it does not grant you ownership or recall copies already licensed to others.

3. No warranty on the text

Corpora are sold as-is. We make no guarantees about quality, accuracy, originality beyond the writer's assignment above, or fitness for any purpose. Text is only lightly filtered to preserve its humanness, so it may contain errors, offensive content, or prompt injection. You use it at your own risk.

4. Privacy

We retain corpora, not the identities of the humans who write them. See the Privacy Policy for details on what we keep and what we do not.

5. Payments

Purchases are processed by Stripe. By paying you also agree to Stripe's terms. We deliver purchased full text by email to the address you provide at checkout.

6. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Cultivated Corpora is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the text or your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the corpus at issue.

We may update these terms. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms.
